in 1987 kelli scott moved to los angeles with a dream and determination in hand. a short time later he would record his first 2 albums with then fan favorites, liquid jesus, for mca records. from there he would write, perform and record with a who’s who of los angeles talent before joining the cult favorite band failure.. from 1993 to 1997 failure became a lasting influence on bands and fans alike with their singular sound of dark and melodious tunes marred in melancholy. upon the bands demise in 1997 kellii circulated his talents to such bands as veruca salt, mellissa auf der maur, blinker the star, qotsa, and so many others before finding a home recording drums for all of linda perry’s many projects and mega selling songwriting bids..(christina aguilera, hole, kt tunstall, scissor sisters, leona lewis, james blunt, daniel powter, avril lavigne, kelly clarkson, pink, faith hill and many more..) 2014 would see kellii scott’s band failure reform too much fan fair. following a few months of us touring to celebrate their long awaited return to music, failure went back into the studio to write and record what most would call one of the best records of 2015, “the heart is a monster.” after extensive touring for the heart is a monster they would again return to the studio to record “in the future your body will be the furthest thing from your mind. “ and “wild type droid, ” their newest release from 2022.

when not busy with his band failure and as an adjustment to the plaque, he is currently busy doing dozens of remote sessions every week.
