the lunare lumen elevator pitch
“i am the moon.
i am very wealthy and i own 28 mansions…
…located in the night sky's ecliptic...
within the zodiacal neighborhoods of the stars.
each night i travel to a different one of my palatial addresses
and welcome that zodiac's planetary energy into my home for the night.”
i wrote a song per mansion from the point of view of the moon’s experience.
…expressing her perceptions of each zodiacal archetype who enters through her doors.
she feels their feelings, often singing their point of view.
but all is influenced by her own lens, her interpretations and her laws.
it's as if the moon falls under the spell of whomever she's with...
... but all the while, casting her spells on them and on us in return.
the LUNARE LUMEN philosopher’s pitch
nosce te ipsum.
this is the foundation of the great work.
in order to become a high priestess, to become my own oracle at delphi,
i needed to face my weaknesses and shortcomings.
and to balance the efforts, i needed to also encourage
wherever there’s joy within me.
to bring into my art, the three states of consciousness- starting with the moon symbolizing the subconscious.
i’m calling this magickal working lunare lumen (the light of the moon).
lunare lumen is inspired by high priestess pythia from the 4th century bc.
she is more widely known as the oracle of delphi, at the temple of apollo in greece.
of the nearly 150 maxims carved on a stele found there at mount parnassus near the gulf of corinth
~know thyself~ (Σαυτον ισθι) is the advice i resonated with the most.
it is the first of three states of consciousness
needed to remain peaceful and empowered under any circumstance.

do our dreams uncover what makes us tick by exhuming lost souvenir trinkets from the muck of our suppressed memories? does the subconscious relentlessly seek to flag us down with urgent secret symbolic messages?
with apocalyptic warnings - electrocution jolts of cryptic guidance?
with an aurora borealis of iridescent fireflies and wide-eyed wonderment?
the all rhythmically pulses in the same space and time
upon the 28 lunar mansion stages of lunare lumen.
the moon occupies one of her 28 unar mansions... staying in each mansion for the night.
for lunare lumen, i wrote a song for each lunar mansion.
and just like the moon, i created each song about each mansion in just one night.
i followed suit in editorial, taking 24 hours to edit each lunar mansion's movie.
it's with all my love and desire to understand and honor the moon, that i call myself her moonmaeden.
